DJ K-Swift Dies In Baltimore

Khia Edgerton, aka DJ K-Swift, died today in a swimming pool accident in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

K-Swift, born Khia Edgerton, was just 28-years-old, at the time of her death, although she started DJ’ing at the age of 11, due to the influence of other pioneering DJ’s like Cocoa Channel and Jazzy Joyce.

K-Swift broke ground on Baltimore’s Radio One station 92Q Jams, where she rose to Female Mix Show Coordinator and was the only female in the country to hold the title.

More details are slowly emerging.

It's the law: No sagging pants in Chicago suburb

Be careful if you have saggy pants in the south Chicago suburb of Lynwood. Village leaders have passed an ordinance that would levy $25 fines against anyone showing three inches or more of their underwear in public. Eugene Williams is the mayor of Lynwood. He says young men walk around town half-dressed, keeping major retailers and economic development away. He calls the new law a hot topic.

The American Civil Liberties Union says the ordinance targets young men of color.Young adults in the village, like 21-year-old Joe Klomes, say the new law infringes on their personal style. He says leaders should instead spend money on making the area look nicer. Could this be the city way of reducing all the cracks in the street?

Rick Ross Photo Negatives Exposed

I have been gone for a minute. When I left for vacation, Rick Ross' new single hit the radio and has been getting mad spins. I get back and there's photos running wild on the internet of Rick Ross in a cop uniform.

Ross said the photos were fakes but now the negatives have come out.

Guess Who's Back??

The above photo was what I was looking at 6:00am last Monday morning.  The vacation was great, relaxing, beautiful, lovely, etc.

Now it's time to get back to the daily grind.  A lot has happened the past week and I'd like to shoutout the bloggers that chimed in on UrbanNewz the past week.
