Review: Call Of Duty: World At War
The question that passes through most, first time Call of Duty: World at War gamers is, Can this live up to all prior Call of Duty games?
The answer is is not as clean cut as one would like, but yes it can. Upon playing, you quickly realize, it may not be fair to compare this version with its predecessors. Several differences compared to its predecessor COD manages to keep up with the previous COD, but is manages to create its own lane.
Call of Duty: World at war touches a new realm with this installment, taking players into the 1940’s during World War II. As previous COD games, World At War takes you between two different fronts. First, as a US Marine fighting the Japanese, and the the latter, a Russian Troop fighting Nazi Germans who are successfully taking over Berlin.
Players will automatically notice a difference in the available weapons compared to previous COD’s. Some weapons hold four rounds while others are single shot, which solidifies the WWII theme. Each mission will take you on chaotic ground battles and propel you into aerial battles that you’ll want to play repeatedly.
Single game play mode, hands down, pleases any gamer who loves a solid, first person shooter type of game.
The Co-Op is a great multi-player experience that few may not be completely satisfied with, but, keeps players wanting more.
After playing COD: World At War, the question arises, how can Activision’s COD franchise can out do their last two Call of Duty releases?
So stop reading about it and go buy it!
